Who We Are
Sport Safety Netting brings together specialist skills in sports barriers and golf course management. We are building on the experience and the product knowledge of our parent company, David Golf & Engineering (DGE). Over a number of years, DGE has helped numerous golf courses design and build effective safety barriers.
At Sport Safety Netting, we now have a dedicated team with specialist skills in engineering, trajectory modelling, and experience in managing golf courses & sporting facilities and in project management.
It is imperative within a more litigious society that every effort be made to ensure the safety of our golf courses and sporting facilities. Sports Safety Netting offers the experience and project management skills to tailor a solution acceptable to both the course and their insurance provider.
We have built up strong partnerships with other professionals, and offer the best service and products in the field.

Invisible Netting?
No barrier is completely invisible, but in landscaped & amenity areas it should not have intrusive "visual impact".
Black netting with 90% or greater porosity is not intrusive, and black or darkgreen supports are least obvious.
While minimising visibility is desirable, the local wild-life may be compromised by completely invisible nets!
Long Lasting?
No nets will last forever, but 10 to 20 years of useful life is to be expected from superior quality netting.
In exposed and high barrier nets, lesser grades will degrade faster and require replacing sooner.
Experience shows that most damage results from tree branches, but we have also seen damage from ember attack in bushfire areas.
Let us work out the right trade-off with you.
Ease of Replacement?
The ease of replacement and repair is always important.
In some situations such as playing fields, seasonal or more frequent net demounting or complete removal can be necessary.
These are best resolved with the correct rigging design.
Safe for the public, safe from vandalism?
If barriers are accessible by the public, then these two issues have to be considered.
Nets and chainwire fences can be stratified to provide both security and safety.
Our properly designed & engineered structures build in features to minimise public risks.
Solid braced structures provide the safest and strongest solutions; while cheaper, guy wired supports are only suitable for fully isolated enclosures.
Safe for the environment?
Nets help protect people and property by stopping balls and projectiles, but may also affect local wildlife.
These impacts can be minimised at the design stages, by choosing low impact locations and appropriate structures.
